Akshaya Patra is seeking motivated, socially conscious young people who believe in their power to make the world a better place! If you are a junior high or high school student living anywhere in the United States, our Youth Ambassador program is open to you! This program provides you with an opportunity to engage in meaningful work that makes an actual impact.

Akshaya Patra’s Youth Ambassador program offers the unique opportunity for you to build leadership, networking, and public presentation skills while improving the lives of over 1.8 million children in India. After graduating, you will have cultivated powerful abilities like public speaking and fundraising while assisting the foundation in building its grassroots movement in the US.

2020 YA Program: Youth Leadership Certification Program
A wonderful opportunity to learn the art of preparing a formal presentation, go through the outreach process needed to connect with corporations, reach out to potential sponsors, make formal fund raising presentations/pitches to introduce the program and help raise funds.
10 selected students will be challenged to collaborate online and offline as a group and put together a formal audio/video presentation introducing the AP program. Mentors will coach and train students on basic skills needed to create a supporting presentation slide deck. This exercise will be directed towards helping and training YAs to learn how to make a formal exec-level pitch/proposal, and recruit corporations to become $5K sponsors for the event.
